Information Fluency

I enjoy crocheting because crocheting is a really calming and peaceful thing when you’re bored. Crocheting is also used as fashion, like sweaters, cardigans, dresses, and other sorts of items. Even you can crochet many board games, I know board games! You can crochet so many things, whatever your heart contents. Crocheting also strengthens your brain because you’re mesmerized about all the twists, the knots, the turns and everything in between. Even if your upset or feeling sad, you can start crocheting to calm down. Now we’re going to be talking about knitting. Knitting is less exciting because the only thing that you can make with knitting is scarves, sweaters, and other stuff but with crochet you get to make so many projects. Now we’re talking about problem solving with crochet. Even with crocheting if you mess up on a stitch you can just pull the yarn and the stitch would just magically disappear and you can just keep going you can keep unraveling and keep going over and over and over. The thing that i’ve made so far with crocheting is ornaments and right now i’m making a cardigan sweater, and voodoo dolls too! Thats why you should start crocheting!

Break the Fake

These are a series of TikTok videos. In the first video a guy saw a giant on a mountain near Whistler with his friends. He made a video for TikTok of the so-called giant. In the video I can hear him saying “It’s a person!” and his friend doesn’t believe him. They were driving down the road. The shaky video shows a big mountain with a figure on the top of the mountain. The figure looked like it could be moving but he was shaking his phone too much while recording.

In another video he went to go research on the giant by going closer and filming better. Until a CIA agent stopped him telling him the area was a “Hazard” zone but after he left, he told his fans on TikTok that the area was for the public. The next day he went again and saw two or three helicopters in the sky searching for something.

The first step was finding the original source of the TikTok videos. Here are the original posts Andrew Dawson (@andykapt) | TikTok

Writing a Post (TOKTWD) – Car Dealership

On November 2nd, 2022, I went to my father’s car dealership. It was amazing, when I went there, his co-workers were questioning him because he didn’t ask them if I was able to come, but they were all welcoming and kind folks. They also said I shared my name with my father a lot, which was weird. And annoying.

What sounds would you hear in this workplace?

A truck, such as an 18-wheeler, is loud and there are a lot of bumping sounds.

What would you smell on a day in this workplace?

Freshly new, baked, tires. Gasoline and hand sanitizer.

What would you see throughout the day in this workplace?

Going from place to place, ie… going back and forth between different brands of cars. You would also see rows of cars. Different places, such as sketchy alleyways, a bright and shiny outside.

How would you feel through most of the day at this workplace?

Happy and excited with the opportunity of going to new places. I felt happy because it was fun driving in the big truck and seeing how small all the other cars seemed at the time.  I also felt proud at the fact that my dad worked here.

What you would use there:

  • A tire lifter
  • Scanning gun
  • Scanning phone
  • Flatbed truck lifter

What about the environment would motivate you to wake up every day to attend work?

The fact that there’s a lot of grass on the property, also if it was a nice sunny day, it would also motivate me to go to work.

What about the environment would discourage you from waking up every day to attend work?

How there’s a lot of buildings and how tight the spaces are when you’re driving. As well as the number of stop lights that are present driving up to the location. Basically, the fact that it is also near industrial sections of the lower mainland, so a lot of the architecture resembles that.

What other work environments appeal to you: what will you try next?

In the future, I would like a work environment that has me working both inside and outside.
