core competency

In the past I used to not like crocheting in front of people because, I thought people would call me girly. I felt weird because people would question why I have this hobby because I am a boy.

I am more confident crocheting in front of people now because, people have shown an interest in me doing it and I feel confident in my skin and I dont worry as much about what others think of me. I have also learned to turn my hobby into a business and make money from it.

I am now teaching others to crochet, including boys, which helps them become more comfortable with their identity and understand that hobbies do not need to be gender based. I feel happy being able to teach others, it is building by confidence, communication and leadership skills.
