During ceramics 9, one of our at-home projects was an island jar. The base was a jar (the ocean) and a detachable lid (the island) with various sculpted beach items on top.

This jar was my favourite project of the first quarter because it was an at-home project. We only worked on it at home, so I was reliant on what I had already learned in class to make a quality project. I spent many hours making the bases shape, smoothing it out and making the little shapes for the lid. It’s one of the things I am most proud of.
