Break the fake part 2 – Charlie Quan

Article: Three people dead in heli ski crash north of Terrace, B.C. by Global News

The article claims that three people died in a heli ski helicopter crash in Northern British Columba on Monday afternoon. Three people were killed when one of its aircraft crashed in the mountains north of Terrace, sometime around 4 p.m.

I searched Snopes, but to no avail. It must have been that this article was just was too recent to fact check. There was no listing on Snopes covering this Topic.

I did search this on google in general and found that CityNews Vancouver claimed that the deaths of those three were confirmed.

I copied the URL on the picture and pasted it into the TinEye search engiene. There were no results, probably because it was from one of many camera angles. I will get to this in a moment.

There were plenty of News articles covering this topic. There were many different sources. Global News, CBC, CTV, CityNews, Times colonist, Vancouver Sun etc.

Global News is a big news source that has their own channel on television and on Youtube.

Ad Fontes Media rates Global News in the Middle category of bias and as Reliable, Analysis/Fact Reporting in terms of reliability. Ad Fontes is a website that rates News by their reputation and their recorded bias.

Global news is a relatively reputable source for News and information.

Overall, my consensus is that this article is not a hoax or fake news since there were multiple news brands reporting on it, though it is still not confirmed. There is no logical way that the ski resort would fake these deaths since that would leave a bad impression on their brand, and I doubt it would be a hoax if the ski resort confirmed the deaths.

Charlie’s Take Your Kids To Work Day!

The environment was well organized and comfortable. The environment was quiet with not much excess noise that you might get in an office building. I heard light tapping on a keyboard and people conversing on a video call. I heard buzzes coming from my dad’s phone about work, I could rarely smell anything since I was already too used to the smell of my house.

There are a lot of positives about working at home, as you don’t have to spend time driving to your workplace and you do not have to spend any money on gas to get to work. There is so much convenience as if you need to eat something, you can just walk to your fridge instead of going to a restaurant or packing your own food. If you are an extrovert, you would probably enjoy talking and coaching others. As you have meetings with other managers around the world daily.

It can be discouraging to go to work at home because when you are at home, you are seeing the same things over and over again, and some people like that there is a change in scenery when going to work, and that it can be better if you didn’t associate your home with your job or work. Sometimes, you need to get out of your house and see something that isn’t just your neighborhood or the same plain room and go to an office to work. As I stated earlier, there is no separation between work life and home life, so it can be less relaxing having the temptation to stop having a break and go back to work. You can stress because you will have the thought that you can work right at the moment since your personal office is in your room. It can also be discouraging since you will not see your colleagues face to face, but rather virtually.

thought that it was interesting in some parts in meetings and how my dad communicates with other managers without being condescending. I also liked how my dad could review some calls that call center agents made and analyze what they did good and what metrics they could improve on. I also found it interesting that my father were pretty good friends with his colleagues so that they could operate more cohesively, and they could have a better connection and company while doing their jobs, so that their jobs would be less stressful and boring, but more exciting and enjoyable.

*Also, I am unable to attach any photos or send them since my father’s personal office is private, my father would not wish to share any pictures of his office.
