Take Your Kid to Work Day

Welcome! On November 2nd was take your kid to work day. I went to work with my mom, She has profession in heath care and works for Pacific Blue Cross. Which is probably some of your parents Heath care provider. During that day I had a lot of people from different departments of the building come and share what they do, how they do it, what they studied in school and what where the jobs that got them to where they are.

What did I hear ?

I heard many people on phones answering questions of the people that called, meetings happening in the rooms around the building and the workers typing away at their keyboards.

What did I see ?

I saw many things such as their cafeteria, the lounge room/ break room, the auditorium ( where we listened to the speakers) and the many meeting rooms they had.

What did I smell ?

where I the part of the building where I was most of the time smelt like coffee and what ever food was being cooked in the cafeteria.

What did I feel ?

Physically I was tired and very cold. Emotionally I didn’t want to be there at first and I told myself I wasn’t going to talk to anyone because I was never going to see them again but that mindset did work so I changed it and made a few friends that I hang out with today.

What about the environment would discourage you from waking up every day to attend work?

A few things that would discourage me from waking up in the morning to attend work would be 1. how early I’d have to wake up, 2. I prefer quieter places to work as where my mom worked was too loud for my liking and finally 3. The people that aren’t very nice and always have an attitude towards you on the phone when all you’re trying to do is help. Number 3 is one of the worst things to have to deal with when you work for such long hours and then there’s that one person that kind of just ruins your whole day because of there attitude.

Here is a picture of me and my mom on our lunch break
