Break the Fake p2

I quite like space, so I chose an article about the supposed first ever picture of a black hole. I think this image looks very cool but could it actually be what a black hole looks like? I am going to find out by fact checking this image.

So first I went to a website that has a good reputation. The website I chose was National Geographic and I went to this link: https://www.nationalgeographic.com/science/article/first-picture-black-hole-revealed-m87-event-horizon-telescope-astrophysics

I also wanted to double check using another source, so I searched up “Is the first picture of a black hole real” and in the results I also saw the official NASA website talk about it.

Just to be even further sure, I looked it up on Snopes.com. While it did not explicitly that it was true or false, it did link to an article by the Washington Associated Press, another credible source, talking about this amazing discovery.

With these three credible sources (Nat Geo, Washington AP and Nasa) all saying the same thing, as well as Snopes backing it up, I think it’s very safe to say this image is in fact real.

Thank you for reading this and I hope that you can follow my steps to make sure you use real images and credible sources!
