My proud assignment

My proud assignment from quarter 3 is my last project I did for science. I chose a topic and a main question that I could answer while walking around Mundy park. The topic was all about the moss in Mundy Park and my question was “What type and quantity of moss are identified within mapped locations of Mundy Park and what substrate is it growing on?”

Before going on my walk, I made sure to know a but about moss and the types that can be found at Mundy Park. There are 5 main types at Mundy Park; flat moss, lanky moss, mountain fern moss and Oregon beaked moss.  I walked around Mundy Park and analyzed every piece of moss in one area and made sure I knew the location on the map.  I had a lot of fun learning about the nature around me. Something interesting that I found on my stroll was on a decomposing cedar stump and it was this teal stuff that is a mixture of fungi and algae.

I needed to present my presentation in front of tiny groups three times. Surprisingly, I was not scared at all, in fact I was very confident in myself. The only information I had wrote down was on the powerpoint. The rest I knew by heart.

I am very proud of myself of being so confident while presenting and putting lots of time into my work. I am also proud of the topic I chose, because I was not sure if I should choose this topic, but I followed my heart and I do not regret doing it.

break the fake-Venezuelan teen sells drawings on Twitter to buy food

This article that I found is about a Venezuelan teen named Samuel Andrés Mendoza, drew paintings and drawings to sell without his moms consent. He did this to raise more money for his family. He sold his paintings on twitter. He did this because of a special diet that he needs, but the economy in Venezuela is poor.

  1. To find out this heartwarming story is fake or not, I looked up the news company that published this article. I found out that The Hindustan Times is an Indian English-language daily newspaper.  I didn’t find any untrustworthy history.

2. I looked up the article on snopes.com, but there wasn’t any results.

3. I looked up Hindustan Times on snopes.com, but none of the articles were from the company.

I think that this article is trust worthy, because the news company is trustworthy, and no one had any suspicions about this article, since there wasn’t any results of their article.

My Proud Assignment

My proud assignment from quarter 2 is my final essay for socials 9. I chose to write about why did the majority of English citizens didn’t enjoy living in London  during a 17th century.

For my first paragraph, I wrote about the 3 major social classes, Superior, middle and inferior . The superior class was the highest rank out of the three and the king, his counsellors, the nobles, and ecclesiastical dignitaries like bishops The middle class included merchants, manufacturers, landowners, professionals and military officers.  The inferior class had the most difficult life than the other social classes. The lower class consisted of thousands of workers who lived in difficult conditions. . The lower class was invisible to the upper class.

For my second paragraph I wrote about the Puritans that were a great victim during the 17th century and were persecuted by most of the citizens of England. They were laughed at so many times that they went to the Mayflower to go to America to practice their religion in peace.

For my last paragraph I talked about the hunt for witches. Old women who lived alone or had a pet were considered suspicious. They suspected marginal women, such as healers, who knew herbs in medicine and knew how to treat diseases or not integrate with society. They would execute these “witches in the most gruesome ways.

My essay needed to be finished in two hours in class in French. This made me very stressed, but I got into the zone and finished my assignment on time. We were allowed to have a half of a page of notes, printed with us. We weren’t allowed to do any research. The night before, I wrote a rough draft of my essay, so I would have a better idea of writing my essay the next day. It took me the whole two hours to write the assignment and at the end I got a Timbit. Socials 9 was a hard class, but I enjoyed working and making new friends.

Drawing and Painting

Drawing and painting are one of my favorite hobbies and passions. Drawing has existed for a very long time. During the ancient times, drawing was used as an expression or to help other aft forms. Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and North and South America would use realistic animal drawings with religious associations were using the inside of the bones and painted in the inside of the cave walls. It’s a well-known tradition that has evolved into modern versions of rock art throughout the world. For example, rock painting. This type of artwork is very fun and unique with a range of difficulties.

A method of painting that inspires me is mural painting. The difference between painting on a canvas and wall is that the wall has a bigger surface and more fun in my opinion.

My favorite type of paint is acrylic, because it dries much faster than oil paint, layering and blending colours is very easy, but there is some cons. Acrylic colour dries darker than wet, you need to wrk quickly, since the paint dries so fast and its almost impossible to get acrylic stains out of your clothes. Overall, painting was quite popular even in the stone-age and still is today. If you are looking for a hobby, I strongly recommend art.

Physical Education 9 – running

In PE 9, I wasn’t very good at running. I was too slow and didn’t have the best mark for the runs, but I worked hard and practice jogging almost everyday, and I got the results I wanted. I have 11:58 min for running four laps around the field, but I changed it into 11:02. I am very proud of myself for having the dedication to practice my jogging.Download wallpapers jogging, morning, runners, running girl for desktop free. Pictures for desktop free
