On the take your kid to work day, i went to cat cafe in Vancouver with my older sister who works there. At first i observed the workplace and took notes and pictures of it, and played with the cats, then i was helping out by organizing stuff, like the inventory and food. And when customers were coming in i was helping to greet them, and pack their orders. During the day my sister and i were working on the assignment that her boss gave us, which is counting some of the inventory; and what we did was my sister was walking around counting, and i was typing the information in the computer. also during the day there were food delivery’s, and i was putting them in boxes then fridges, and marking them. and on the cafe side there was a display cooler with pastries and snacks, and i was putting the snacks in that cooler.

1. At the cat café I heard an ice machine working, some music playing quietly, people moving stuff around, customers and workers walking and talking, air conditioning working, cats meowing and like hissing, ring bell thing, doors closing and opening, other machines working. I saw a display cooler with pastries and snacks, coffee grinder and an expresso machine, mini fridge with drinks and another fridge and freezer, supplies, displays of cat souvenirs, a gift shop with cat pins, cups, toys, stickers, socks, clothes, etc. there was also a food delivery from a local bakery, and I saw receipts, a iPad with the café info, counters and cat food and cats. I smelled snacks, coffee, hot chocolate, lattes, and like fresh air. I felt cats, dishes, devices, cups, supplies, snacks, and cat stuff like their toys.  
2. Something that would motivate me to come to that environment are the people working there because they’re really nice and helpful, also the job is actually really fun and I enjoyed helping out, and I would obviously love to work with cats because they’re just amazing, and the paychecks.  
3. Something that would discourage me is that it’s a job with customer service, and working with that can be really hard sometimes because people can be crazy and unhappy, also the store itself is really neat but the area itself is unsafe, and I’m allergic to cats so I would have a hard time, and the job isn’t that easy so on busy days it would be really hard. 

     4. I found interesting that the boss gives every worker a little assignment usually, maybe everyday I don’t know, but the boss emailed my sister and gave us a sister’s project where we would count a part of the inventory, and it was fun to do. So I found it interesting because I dint know if most jobs do that.
