MicroBit 2

Alarm that protects are family is the goal of our design, but we are facing some problems.

The biggest problem we had is the identification of people who are opening the door. It is hard for the alarm to know if it’s a family member who opened the door, or it’s a stranger who opens the door.

We’ve considered that to put a bottom beside the door; therefore, the family member could press it so that the sensor would know it’s a family member and not goes off. We also considered putting a sensor in the lock hole etc. All our ideas have obvious and serious disadvantages. We will try to fix the problems and better our project later in the test time.

MicroBit Design

Matthew and I are designing a MicroBit alarm that rings whenever strangers try to open the door. Our design requires at least a motion sensor and an alarm. If the stranger tried to open the door, the sensor would detect the movement of the door; subsequently, the alarm will ring. We design this for the security of our belongings while we are away from home. Hopefully, it would protect our house.
