Coast Salish Art

Coast Salish Art was an artistic creation with elements of indigenous people. They are usually carved on bone and wood, or woven into blankets with elemental patterns. I thought these patterns were just pretty shapes with no meaning. But after I learned about it, I found that every form and animal that appears in Coast Salish Art has a symbol. For example, the bear symbolizes courage, protection and good health; moreover, the beaver symbolizes persistence and determination. After all, all animals in Coast Salish Art carry their unique meaning. The art also conveys the unique spirit of Coast Salish peoples from the Pacific Northwest Coast.
