- Creative thinking
I rarely used my creativity which led me to fall behind in classes, such as woodwork because you need to be creative and have fun ideas to make a project. However, I fixed this problem by learning how to start thinking more creatively. For example, in woodwork at the start of the semester I wouldn’t think creatively which led me to fall behind because I couldn’t think of any ideas to make as my project. Eventually I started brainstorming multiple ideas so I could have more than one option which made things a lot easier for me to decide which idea I liked the best.
2. Adaptability
It was always hard for me to adjust to new things which led me to be confused in class, I was a shy person and did not ask questions when I needed help. I always liked to use my techniques to help me get through things, however sometimes my techniques were not helpful so I would need to learn new techniques. Once I started asking for help and learning new techniques I saw a change and it helped me get through things a lot easier. For example, in English I would have strategies to help me understand things better, but for certain things my techniques would not be helpful and I still would not understand what I was supposed to be doing. I fixed this problem by talking to more people and asking what techniques would help and some wouldn’t help but eventually I started opening up new ideas and adjustig to them which helped me to understand things better.
