In drafting, it required me to apply my knowledge of real life appliances and logic. It shows that I can build a house with furniture of the necessities everyone needs in a house and that I can build a floor plan of a house. More specifically, I needed to find the dimensions of the furniture of real life objects to make the house scaled realistically, then I scaled it down to a size that can fit on a mini sized model of my vacation home.
In Physics 11, I demonstrated creative and critical thinking to create a mousetrap cart. Also, we had to complete various calculations to go along with it. We had to plan out the design, gather the required materials, construct our prototype, and then finally test and improve it. During this process we caused many errors and we had to think of creative ways to solve them. To solve these problems, we thought of using alternative materials to reduce as much of the error as possible. In addition, we also wanted to reduce the friction between the materials, which made us think about the usage of WD-40 or different types of ways to wind up the axle.
For the past few years, I have created small goals for me to reach in order to foster healthier habits. For instance, I have been making a homework page every day to keep track of assignments or homework I need to complete for each class. This technique has allowed me to better manage my time and space out work accordingly. Sometimes, when I do lots of homework or extra practice on Chemistry 11 and Physics 11, I get exhausted. To relax and ease my anxiety, I will talk to my friends over the phone or walk downstairs to talk to my family members.
