Connecting Core Competencies:

The Core Competencies I chose is Collaboration and communication because me and partner worked together to make this digital house and complete the assignment. We answered the questions together and helped edit the videos together. For communication We both listened to each others ideas and combined them to create our project that we are both proud of.

Learning from Digital Tool:

We used the Phet simulation for the circuit diagram, sketch up for the house, and Capcut and clip champ to edit the video. The benefits to sketchup was that we could make a 3D model of a house, and we could decorate it how we wanted. Something challenging about sketch up was us trying to film the house as if we were walking around in it but we resorted to a birds eye view of the house. A benefit to the Phet simulation was that is made it easier to understand circuits and was a simpler image for others to understand. Something challenging about Phet was trying to connects each circuit.

Application in Other Courses

I got the website Sketch Up from my Drafting class and it was very helpful making the house. I used Clipchamp for the first time, for editing videos and I might use it the next time I have to make a video. I used canva to overlay the circuits onto the floorplan and to add the dimensions. I use Canva in almost every class and not just for presentations.
