The article I found was an article on the singer/songwriter Mitski, who I wrote about for my Information Fluency assignment. The article was talking about how she plans to release new music in 2021. The music would be for a graphic novel soundtrack. The book is called This is Where we Fall and it is written by Chris Miskiewicz and Vincent Kings.

Step 1: Checked the author’s name and found she was a writer for the website.

Step 2: Googled the author’s name + website to see what came up, I got the website and reviews for her writing, all for pitchfork.

Step 3: Checked Wikipedia for the website name. It explained the website was a blog for talking about indie music.

Step 4: I wanted to see if the subject of the article was true and I couldn’t find anything on Snopes so I checked other sources that came up when I searched for ‘Mitski Graphic Novel Soundtrack’

All the results were from websites/blogs surrounding music and talking about the music industry and its singers. These matched up with what I was searching.

After these four steps, I came to the conclusion that the article was True.
