Guidelines for commenting on my blog

Thank you for visiting my blog once again. I can’t wait to see your comments on future posts! These are some examples of the guidelines that I think would help you make the best comments possible.

  • Write comments that add to the conversation. Ask a question. Provide a link that might clarify a point. Copy/paste a passage that interests you then write your comments and questions.

Writing comments that can add to the topic of conversation is something that I would appreciate! Coming back to sentences that I wrote and using them to prove a point also lets me know you were interested in them.

  • Read the article. Read all the comments. Be part of the full discussion.

If you read everything then you will understand everything. This way we can avoid misunderstandings and have meaningful discussions.

  • Be open-ended and open-minded when reading about my topic.

You might not agree with the opinions of every other person and that’s ok, but you need to respect the ideas of other people and keep an open mind. Respect can mean having a calm conversation about the conflicting topic.

  • Use good grammar and spelling. Mistakes cause readers to focus on how you write, not your ideas.

Poor grammar and spelling shows me that you didn’t put enough thought into the comment. So just a little thing like checking spelling and grammar shows that you care and that you are interested in the conversation.

Sample: My blog on different combinations of smoothies.

“Hi Nour, I really enjoyed reading about these different combinations of fruits. I will definitely be trying some of them! I was wondering if you could share the ratios of fruits you use in your next post?
