Microbit project plan

My project plan is to make a contraption that senses the noise in the surrounding area to warn people that the level of noise that they are creating is higher then the designated level of sound that they are allowed to produce. The primary use for this contraption is in libraries so that the level of commotion produced by the population inside the library is not higher then the desired level.

The way that this contraption is designed, is by using code to program the small chip known as a micro-bit to sense the level of commotion around it. To do this, an extension is required to aid the micro-bit in its ability to sense the different levels of noise. To add this extension to the micro-bit, there is another small device the hooks up to the micro-bit that allows it to have multiple ports to receive the information that is being collected by the specific extension that is attached. Once the desired level of noise is reach, the micro-bit will light up a 5 by 5 Led screen with the color red, this signifies that the level of noise in the room has exceeded the correct levels. The 5 by 5 LED screen on the face of the micro-bit will also light up, but with the color green, if the level of noise in the room is at a desired level. These two colors should hopefully remind the population in the room that they are, or are not, staying within the range required for the level of noise.

I chose to utilize the color red for when the noise level is to high because red is commonly accepted as a color that tends the mean something negative (for example, a red stop light means stop). I chose to use the color green for when the noise level is in the acceptable range because green is widely used as a color to mean something positive (for example, a green stoplight means go) That is my project plan for the micro-bit project for digital learning 10.
