For this assignment, I decided to make fried beef rolls. I chose this dish, because I had all the ingredients needed already in my house, so I didn’t have to shop for any additional ingredients. Fried beef rolls are simple, yet they are known as a famous dish in Chinese culture. It consists of a fried green onion pancake and rolling in green onion and roasted beef slices. Ever since I was a child, I’ve always remembered going to Chinese restaurants with my family and ordering the fried beef rolls that I loved eating and enjoying. However, at a certain point in time, my mother discouraged me to order any more fried beef rolls at restaurants, because she said she would make them at home for me instead. Therefore, I learned how to make my mother’s style of fried beef rolls, which was very helpful for this assignment. As a result, the rest of my family enjoyed the dish that I made. It’s a very simple dish if you have the right ingredients, so nothing can really go wrong. I also enjoyed them, because it was savory and I love to eat fried foods, even if they are not very healthy. The fried beef rolls were nicely fried, and the beef rolled in nicely into the pancake. It was clean and crispy. If I were to change anything about this dish, I would spread the sweet sauce more evenly through out the pancake and roll them tighter, because they would fall apart after a couple bites.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Ingredients:

– 3 Green Onion Pancakes

– 12 slices Roasted Pork

– 3 tbsp Sweet Bean Sauce

– 2 Green Onions, Sliced

– 2 tsp of Oil

 

Procedure:

Fry green onion pancakes on both sides until golden brown.

Place on a plate and place 4 slices of roasted beef, 1 tbsp sweet bean sauce, & green onion slices onto pancake.

Roll and put a pin in the middle.
