Microbit Design Process #2 – Create and Try out

We are now at the stage where we can start coding and trying out our idea. There were quite a few restrictions in the process, as we do not have many advisory classes.  We need to get a microbit, and I don’t even remember how to code a microbit because the last time I learned how to do so was in grade 7. I’ve heard that I was supposed to learn about programming microbits in Science class, but so far my teacher has not even mentioned microbits. Thankfully, my partner Chantelle kind of knows how to code a microbit though, so maybe we aren’t that lost. This project has been kind of a mess and not much is clear, but I’m sure it will work out!

Microbit Design Process #1

The problem I’m trying to solve is forgetting when you last watered your plants. My partner Chantelle and I came up with a design where we can maybe use a moisture sensor to figure out if a plant needs to be watered. If the moisture level is low, the LED lights will turn red. If the moisture level is high enough, the LED lights will turn green. If the moisture level is in between/okay, the LED lights will turn yellow.
