Some Guidelines On Commenting On My Blogs

Hi friends, firstly I want to thank you for reading my about me blog, it means a lot to me that you read my blog. The about me blog took a lot of time to make and I am looking forward to reading the comments. But before we start I must lay out some guidelines for your commenting.

No foul language

  • To write foul language on a comment is firstly disrespectful, I can afford some comments on improving my blog, but I don’t want to see any foul language. Also, some people can get offended on this kind of language and showing this can hurt your reputation.

No off-topic rants

  • Firstly, I like long comments on my blog, but if you are writing a comment you must stay on topic. For example, if you comment on something I should improve on in my blog, you don’t want to start talking about some other persons blog or something. Consider this when you are commenting on other blogs.

No derogatory or inflammatory comments

  • As I said it is perfectly okay to give me some corrections on my blog, but never use your comments to pick on anyone. This ties in with my point on not using foul language, you always be respectful with others on commenting, and using foul language to pick on others is disrespectful and should never happen on a blog.

No imbedded links to another website

  • When you are commenting, your reason to comment is that you can help support or improve the author. Your comments are not to show people your blogs (there are other ways to do that). This is also disrespectful to the author of the blog, the author wants to see comments to improve his or her writing not to see other blogs. This also ties in to how you must stay on topic, for example you shouldn’t compare people’s blogs to your blogs. This is disrespectful to the author and nobody wants to see it.

Example:

On my about me blog:

” Hi Adam, I just want to say that you are really good at describing the stuff you like. I had no idea you liked the Olympics so much, I had never heard the quote ” work hard in silence let success be your noise” before and that quote really inspires me now. keep it up Adam and I am looking forward to your next blog.
