Even though there are only 188 female teams featured in the woman’s world cup, I’m still proud that those teams can show the world that soccer isn’t just a male sport, it can also be played by woman. I’m glad to see that in other parts of the world, woman’s soccer gets the attention it deserves to get. In England the number of girls seen playing football every day during school breaks rose from 22% in July last year to 32% this July, according to a survey of teachers.
