Welcome to Zoë’s official blog. I’m a student, gymnast, soccer player and dog lover. I love mystery books and films as well as interior decorating. On this blog I hope to provide some insight into my high school experience and managing a busy schedule. I will share my interests and some of the tools I use to be as successful as possible in school.
Quote:
My favorite quote is “Hard days are the best because that’s when champions are made” – Gabby Douglas. I love this quote because it’s saying that difficult times are the times we should be grateful for because that teach you lessons, give you experience and make you a better person. It’s telling us that to be successful we can’t expect everything to be easy. We need to face challenges and work hard to overcome them if we want to be the best version of ourselves that we can be.
YouTube Clip:
Here is my favorite YouTube clip. It’s a video by Mark Robbers that explains the use of science to save the world. I really enjoy this video because we not only learn about the way that the science works and functions but we also learn how this impacts people in need and saves millions of lives. The information in this video is clear, easy to follow and overall entertaining.
Picture:
The picture that chose was of Simone Biles, an American Olympic gymnast, during the 2021 Olympic games in Tokyo, Japan. This photo impacted me because Simone Biles has always been an inspiration to me. This photo was taken when she decided to put her mental health first instead of competing at they Olympics. I admire the courage that she had to announce this to the public after all the expectations that had been placed upon her and one day I hope to have the courage that she does.

Website:
My favorite website is GeoGuesser. This is a website that shows you a picture of somewhere in the world and then you must locate in on a world map. The closer to the lactation you guess the more points you get. I really like this website because it shows you places that you have never seen or heard for. It also makes you use critical thinking to place you guess because you might have to look for signs with the spoken language their or look for famous landmarks.
The history of my Birthday:
On my birthday in 1907, The U.S. Senate votes 90-6 to enter world war 1 on the allied side. In 1949 on my birthday, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) treaty is signed. Another important event that took place on my birthday was in 1968 when Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated.
