Personal Awareness and Responsibility Reflection:
I have shown strong personal awareness and responsibility this year by balancing my demanding dance schedule with school and staying on top of my academic work.
Reflection Paragraph:
This year, I’ve had to manage an intense schedule with competitive dance training, over 20 hours a week, while also keeping up with all my school responsibilities and online courses, and I’m really proud of how I’ve handled it. Even with all the hours I spend dancing each week and the many days of school I miss for travelling for dance, I’ve stayed organized, met deadlines, and kept my grades high. It hasn’t always been easy, but I’ve learned how to plan ahead, use my time wisely and communicate with my teachers. That said, I know I still have room to grow. Over the summer and into next year, I would like to get better at putting my phone down and avoiding procrastination. Sometimes I catch myself scrolling or putting things off when I could’ve just gotten them done quickly. My goal is to keep building good habits and to stay focused so I can keep succeeding in both dance and school without feeling overwhelmed.
These are two first overall plaques from dance conventions against over a hundred dancers in my age category.
This is from when I got the highest scoring solo out of the entire competition, all ages (all the way to 18), and am now in the voting for soloist of the year to win $1000!
