Commenting guidelines for my blog

Thanks for visiting my blog! If you’d like to comment on my work, it would be much appreciated for the comments to be kind and considerate. Here are my guidelines to help you with your comment(s)!

• Constructive criticism ONLY

  ◦ Giving constructive feedback is important when it comes to commenting, as it lets me know which areas in my blog I could better improve. I’d be happy to receive helpful and constructive criticism, but please support your comment with specific examples! However, if your comment is plain criticism to no purpose, please keep the comment to yourself.

• Stay on topic

◦ All comments should be related to the topic(s) in the blog. Commenting something unrelated to the topic shows that you did not read the blog carefully, which is very disrespectful to the blogger.

• Treat people the way you want to be treated

◦ This quote can’t be said enough; please be nice to everyone and treat people the way you want to be treated. Choosing to give a kind comment is always a good idea! By being polite and respectful while commenting, it reflects positive energy to the blogger!

• Comments should be 2-5 sentences! Be concise!

◦ Any thoughtful comments should be one or more sentences! Comments would also be easier to follow if written clearly and concisely. By eliminating fillers or redundant pairs, comments would be easily read by the others.

Sample: My blog post of my dad eating at a buffet

“Hey Tiffany, I found your favorite quote very inspiring; no wonder why it gives you so much motivation! If you were not to ever encounter this motivational quote, do you think it might impact your productivity at all?”
