Break the fake: Is dried fruit good for you?

I love dried fruit. Mango, cranberries, and apples. I will eat any fruit thrown my way. I also thought what I was eating was good for me. However, most videos online seem to say dried fruit is bad for you. This video shows how much sugar there is in dried fruit and why dried fruit is one of the worst snacks. He is it isn’t much better than other unhealthy food.

The Video:

The source of this video.

Dr. Eric Berg

He has 6.01 million subs on youtube.

He gets lots of views on Youtube, and his topics are about a wide range of health-related topics.

On Dr.Berg personal website

https://www.drberg.com/

There is an about me page

His about me page shows his life and accomplishments

He is not a real doctor but a chiropractor.

Giving him the right to talk about the topic

Is Dr. Berg who he really says he is?

Every source I found says Dr. Berg was a chiropractor specializing in weight loss. He was never a doctor but he runs a Health and Wellness center in Virginia and on google maps the owner is Eric Berg. Many different youtube channels, websites, and google maps show that Dr. Eric Berg is indeed a chiropractor.

He is who he said he is.

There are many videos saying he is fake or not trustworthy.

Dr. Berg may not be trustworthy on many topics, but even a stopped clock is right once a day

Is this argument backed up?

Is dried fruit good for you?

A youtube search for is dried fruit and for you brings up many results.

But a search for dried fruit good for you brings up nothing

No video says “the health benefits for eating dried fruit”

There is one on apricot but that is not what I am trying to prove.

A google search brings the same results

Other articles show debates whether dried fruit is good or not

Fruit in general has nutrients and is healthy for you.

Some sugar-free dried fruit is good, but mostly the food industries add  way too much sugar to make consumers buy

By researching this topic I realized Dr. Berg was too against dried fruit. They are a good source of carbohydrates and other nutrients but be wary of the sugar levels as that is important. You shouldn’t eat what is basically candied fruit as a regular snack.

Dr. Berg was wrong in saying dried fruit is to be avoided, but limited quantities and looking at the sugar content is a must when looking at dried fruit.

This video was not right as it was against eating dried fruit at all. However he was not wrong, but dried fruit in small quantities is still a good snack not a healthy food
