This year, my digital knowledge and skills have improved a lot. One example is that I’ve become better at using different design tools and software to create digital art. I’ve learned new techniques for manipulating images, and creating visually appealing compositions. It was fun to explore and use my creativity for this assignment and I enjoyed it.

“I always say that I didn’t choose ballet– ballet chose me.” I chose this quote because I can relate to it. As a dancer I would say that I didn’t choose dance (ballet) chose me. “Dance to me is connection, creativity, love, a way to tell a story, and that’s why I do it.” I relate to this because dancing allows me to express myself through music and a way to tell a story. “How does dance make me feel? Is it even a feeling, or is it a moment, a dream, a reality? I only know that I am myself fully when I am onstage dancing. That’s where I feel safe and right at home.” Dance is home to me, my friends a dance partners are where I feel safe, when I’m on stage instead of focusing on “am I going to forget my choreography” I’m focusing on trying to share my love for the art of dance. “I think the mental health of our dance community is just tender right now; not having an outlet to move in a physical space—that’s such a part of how we process.” During the pandemic I related to this a lot, I didn’t have much space to keep practicing dance and I think it affected my mental health because dancing was such an important part of my life.

I did a search on wikipedia on entertainment weekly to see if its a reliable source and found out that its an online magasine that’s based in New York City and its been running since 1990. So I know the is a reliable source.
Finally to double check I went on Snopes.com but it didn’t help with my research.
On November 1st I went to my moms hair salon and watched her do hair. My mom has her own hair salon in our house where she does hair. I helped her sweep up hair after her clients, helped fold towels and make coffee, tea, water etc for her clients. Since my moms hair salon is in my house I was not with any other kids.

I heard music, blow dryers, water, cutting sounds and tin foil crackling. I saw hair, bleach, scissors, clips, brushes, and foils. I smelled bleach, shampoo, hair products and essential oils. I felt hair, foil, and hairbrushes.

Getting to see others happy about their hair transformations and making money.

Lots of standing around, using your hands a lot, tired from long work hours and worrying if people will not like their hair.

When you bleach hair throughout the process you have to mix the bleach with a solution that has a higher intensity every time you run out, so it all finishes at the same time.
