When preparing a dinner and dessert that my group and I created and planned in food class, I showed both critical and creative thinking. We were instructed to create a main course meal plus a dessert or appetizer that featured fusion cuisines last week. I made smores mochi and sushi samosas with my group. We had to develop our own recipe and process because there were no online recipes for these. This required a great deal of analytical and imaginative thought. We finally made our meal at the end of the week, and it was delicious and super fun to make. We had fun being creative and spending time as a group cooking together. Next, by continuing to experiment with new recipes and cooking at home, I will concentrate on honing my critical and creative thinking abilities.

Little buddies inquiry project
I picked this question because in my opinion play is a very important part in a child’s development overall. It helps little a one gain creativity and problem solving abilities. Play is a fun part and also a critical part of a child’s learning.

REFLECTION #1
Information Fluency
Assignment 7: Information Fluency
Cheer is a sport that is not talked about very much. There are different types of cheer including high school, all star and college which is kind of a mix of high school and all star. I do all star cheer, all star cheer started in the late 1980s and within the past five years has grown hugely. There are many cheer gyms across the worlds. Most countries have national teams now. Canada has a senior team, junior team, and youth team. This season I am on youth team Canada, we are going to the world championships in Orlando, Florida. This competition has been held at ESPN wide world of sports for 20 years. Cheer is physically very hard, tumbling and stunting is very hard on your body. If you don’t take the proper measures, you will get injured. Personally, I would say cheer is even harder mentally. Having mental blocks for skills is super hard, there’s a lot of pressure on you. You can’t miss practice or competitions because without one person you can’t really do anything. cheer is more than a sport to me. Most of my friends also come from cheer, its like my second home.
Do elephants think humans are cute?
Julie Hass said that elephants find human cute the same way humans find puppies cute. The same part of the brain lights up when they see us. Elephants are also known for their kindness to other animals and humans.
I’ve put “do elephants think human are cute” into snopes.com. It says that its unproven but humans have been able to tame elephants and the Food and Agriculture Organization said that the relationships between humans and elephants is quite strange.
I then searched up “do elephants think humans are cute hoax” and a website called africacheck.org popped up. I clicked on it and it said that elephants do not find humans cute and that wild elephants feel threatened by us. the website also tells us that the idea of wild elephants thinking we are cute may have come from trained elephants that are used to humans. the website include the history of the meme as well.
if you searched up “do elephants think humans are cute fake” plenty of articles pop up talking about how this is fake.
I think that it is fake. Elephants DO NOT find humans cute.
Take Your Kid To Work Day
On November 2nd it was bring your kid to work day. I spent the day at Wesco glass with my cousin. She works front desk, manages all the calls and schedules her coworkers to do glass installations.
these are some photos of the workspace.
- what do you hear, see and smell in this workplace?
this workplace is relatively quiet. there is a mechanic shop beside the building and sometimes we would hear banging from that.
There is an upstairs and a downstairs in this building. upstairs was where the desks were located and where my cousin works. downstairs is where all the glass is being stored to be picked up or taken to a job site.
The air in the workplace was pretty fresh but did smell a little like a construction store. ex Rona.
2. what would encourage you to go to this workplace every day?
I think what would encourage me to go to this workplace every day is the fact that everyone there seems close and comfortable with each other. My cousin gets a very flexible schedule and creates her own hours which I think would definitely help motivate me to go every day. there was something about the workplace that was calming, which made me feel good. it was warm had lots of naturel light and I seemed to get comfortable pretty fast.
