How has your awareness of Coast Salish Art in our community changed? Be specific and give at least one example.

After having done this project on Coast Salish Art work it has really helped my perspective towards Coast Salish people who live among us in the community. This has really shown me how much effort these people put into there art and shows me how deep they are as people. As I was trying to create my own piece of artwork I have realized that each shape has meaning and that it takes a lot of time to put together. Attempting to do this kind of artwork also makes me realize that there are different ways of doing things even compared to other cultures which makes everyone unique. I am glad I got the chance to be taught this form of art because it is not something I do everyday so it was nice to try something new.
