Break the Fake – Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott taking a break
1.I found this article about the famous hip-hop artist Travis Scott who supposedly is taking a break with Kylie Jenner according to this article.
2.I went on Wikipedia and searched up the name of the website. Wikipedia claims that there have not been any fake accusations or fake articles. I am pretty confident that this article is true due to the fact that there have not been any bad reviews or accusations about the source.
3.I was not able to find any articles on snopes.com to help legit check my source. So, I found two other websites to help me figure out if it true or fake. I found one by TMZ and one by USAToday.
4.After some research, I found that TMZ has been reported to have fake breaking news reports. Whereas USAToday is a highly credible source with a weekly print circulation of 726,906, a digital only subscriber base of 504,000 and an approximate daily readership of 2.6 million.
5.In conclusion, I found that the first article is TRUE because there were two sources who told the same story. USAToday had more information, due to the fact it was uploaded a few days after the first article.

Hip-hop and its culture is something I’m very passionate about, being that I’m a producer and a follower of hip-hop. It originated in the United States in the 1970’s with inspiration from DJ’s in Jamaica. Taking the rhythm and sounds often used by Jamaicans and using it in their beats. Grandmaster Flash, Kurtis Blow, Run-D.M.C., and the Sugar Hill Gang were some of the earlier artists in hip-hop with hits like “Rapper’s Delight” by the Sugar Hill Gang and “The Breaks” by Kurtis Blow popularized hip-hop. DJ’s were an important part of hip-hop, rappers would “freestyle” on their beats, battling with other rappers. Originally developed in New Yok, it shortly became known worldwide, where it was more than just music. Graffiti, dancing, fashion etc became a-part of hip-hop, changing the world we live in today. Hip-hop has grown into many different genres and styles. Rappers often incorporate different elements of genres into their own music to create a new sound and to be unique. Hip-hop has changed many peoples live including mine. Producing music is something I’m very passionate about, without the creators and inspiration people got from different cultures to create hip-hop then I wouldn’t be doing the thing I love.

Performers known as emcees (MC’s) or rappers soon began to accompany the music created by the DJ’s. Rappers spoke or chanted words and rhymes to the beat. They began to compete in “battles” in which they would show their skill at improvised rhyming. This skill involves creating rhymes on the spur of the moment. Another hip-hop vocal technique called beatboxing also developed. Beatboxing involves using the voice to imitate various sounds, particularly the sound of drumbeats and other musical instruments. Early rap and hip-hop performers included Doug E. Fresh, the Fat Boys, Grandmaster Flash and the Furious Five, Kurtis Blow, Run-D.M.C., and the Sugar Hill Gang. |
I find it interesting that rappers write lyrics but always they chose to rap on the spot in battles to compare their skills.

Some people consider graffiti to be a form of hip-hop art. Graffiti artists paint or scratch words or drawings on the walls of public places. They often identify themselves with signatures or symbols called tags. Notable graffiti artists or artists who have used elements of graffiti in their work include Jean-Michel Basquiat, Fab 5 Freddy, Keith Haring, and Shepard Fairey. |
Personally, I think graffiti is a form of hip-hop art. The roots of rapping and DJ-ing originated on the streets. Hip-hop isn’t just music, it’s the culture. Everything is the culture is about expressing themselves so, I think graffiti should be considered in hip-hop |

As with rock music before it, the lyrics of rap and hip-hop music have often been controversial. Some critics see a recurring theme of violence toward women in the songs. The videos of rap and hip-hop artists also have been criticized for violence and strong sexual content.
