About Me

Welcome to Melea’s official blog.

Hello, I am a high school student, an artist and an overall creative person. I hope you enjoy reading more about myself, and with that, happy reading!

My favorite quote:

Don’t take criticism from someone you wouldn’t go to for advice

I’m not sure who originally said this quote or, if not who, where it originated, but I find it beautiful all the same. I love this quote because it simplifies that some opinions should matter more than others. It states that good opinions from someone you trust is worth more than a bad opinion from someone you don’t respect.

My favorite Youtube Video:

The following is my favorite Youtube video, it’s not all that educational, but it motivates me to get things done all the same. I look up to the creator of this video not only because she is an amazing craftsperson and seamstress, but because of her energy and the way she carries herself.

A photo that has had an impact on me:

I don’t have any personal attachment to this photo, it’s just a photo I found on Pinterest, but I have felt an emotional attachment to this photo since I saw it.

It’s a simple photo of a crown being held out, nothing much else to indicate a backstory. But that’s what I like about it. I feel like there is something I need to do with that crown, yet I’m not sure what. It’s unclear to me if I should be placing it on someone’s head, make it as a trophy of skill or wear it myself, and it’s that uncertainty that intrigues me.

I haven’t figured out my future and neither has that crown.

My favorite website:

My favorite website, or at least the one I visit the most, would have to be Pinterest.

As an artist, I love to find references, ideas and references online. I found Pinterest about a year ago and have found that it works fantastically for my wants and needs. I spend most of the time on my phone either scrolling for ideas on Pinterest or looking at a specific picture as reference while working on an art project.

Thank you for reading this far, I hope you learned something about me.

Have a wonderful rest of your day!
