Social Responsibility  Critical Thinking  Creative Thinking 
In Leadership 11, I worked with teachers and students to contribute to the community and make a difference. This was an excellent example of social responsibility because I took action voluntarily to support my environment and improve someone’s day in my community. 

  • I have grown the most in my social responsibility competency because I have taken initiative without reward. 
  • Next, I will focus on developing my social responsibility competency by contributing to my environment and ecosystem to create a better place for me and others. 

 

 

Project: Leadership volunteer oppurtunities. 

 In Math 10 foundations and pre-calculus, I worked on various math tests in which I received above 95% marks, this is an example of my critical thinking skills because I demonstrated that I could use logic to evaluate evidence and develop and understanding in addition to a conclusion. 

 

  • I have grown the most in my Critical Thinking competency because I can adjust my thinking to make judgments and interpretations. 
  • Next, I will focus on developing my Critical Thinking competency by asking more questions and getting help to become more efficient in my abilities. 

 

 

 

 

Project: Math 10 Unit test/Midterm 

 In Science 10, I was tasked with presenting an inquiry project. In this project, I came up with the idea of a machine that generated oxygen on mars using its native resources. This activity is a notable example of my creative thinking since I demonstrated my abilities to develop innovative ideas in creative ways and discover interesting solutions to make my ideas function. 

 

  • I have grown the most in my Creative Thinking competency because I have exercised my abilities to “think outside of the box” and try new things. 
  • Next, I will focus on developing my Creative Thinking competency by attempting more challenges to test my abilities of thinking creatively to solve a problem.

In English 9, I worked on a theatrical project with multiple group members, demonstrating my communication skills. During this project, I successfully communicated with my classmates to produce a proficient and amusing play which as a result received an A. Another example of my communication capabilities in this course is a similar project where me and my group were tasked with creating trivia, games, quizzes, and a play about a story that we had read.

In Ceramics 9, I demonstrated creative thinking skills when I used my imagination to create various projects with clay. I gathered inspiration from my classmates to better improve my ideas and present a one-of-a-kind art project. In addition, I used creative thinking to fix the damaged ceramic projects that most would throw away. This helped me save time and a project that I worked hard for.

I have grown the most in Communications 9 where I worked hard to develop my French speaking skills. Before, speaking French was a difficult task for me for as I did not know many words and struggled to have a conversation. Now, I can proudly say that this course has helped me improve my French communication skills which have contributed to my writing skills that have had a positive impact on my Science Humaine 9 course.
