Communication:
In Peer Tutoring 11/12, I collaborated with my sponsor teacher to plan a well thought out lesson plan, which was an excellent example of communication because I demonstrated that I could present my ideas and engage meaningfully with constructive criticism. Consequently, I came up with a lesson that included critical information about the subject given, and helpful tips for the students to fully understand the concept.
Creative Thinking:
In Ceramics 12, I worked on a Styrofoam statue of Shawn the sheep riding a skateboard, which was an excellent example of creative thinking because I had to constantly think of new ways to construct my statue that would support its shape and stability. During this project I faced many challenges that I had to overcome by thinking in abstract. The main struggle I confronted was attaching the arms and legs in a way that fit the harmony of his stance even though I was putting them on one by one. I overcame this struggle by temporarily putting on all the limbs with a skewer and gluing them on after I was satisfied with the placements.
Critical Thinking;
In Pre-calculus 12, I demonstrated critical thinking by analyzing each question prior to applying formulas. Moreover, I identified my mistakes and attempted different approaches to solve them. Overall, during this course I used my observations, evidence, experience, and judgement to draw conclusions and go over implications. I can use evidence to develop interpretations and adjust my thinking, this is a demonstration of my critical thinking abilities.

On Take Your Kids to Work Day, I went to my family-owned business at Henderson Mall with my mom and my grandmother. I spent the day helping customers who entered, and I assisted them with their needs. I sold three items which consisted of a Hat, a Bag, and a beautiful hand-made wallet from Iran. I also learned how to alternate certain types of clothing to a customer’s needs from my grandmother who has been sewing since she was twelve years old!
