I was scrolling through YouTube when this video came up. It said Gymnastic Accident. There wasn’t much context, but I was curious to see what it was so I decided to check it out. The video showed a gymnast running to do his vault but when he jumped on the springboard it broke and he flew into the judges table. Skeptical whether it was real or fake, I decided to research more about the video. Below here is a picture from the video

Since the person who posted the video was not the original source, I decided to search the video up on google.

After doing some research on google there was another YouTube video called BIGGEST GYMNASTIC FAIL EVER – real or fake? Since it had the words real or fake I decided to check it out to see whether it was, real or fake? The guy from billschannel was pointing out the description the background and the motion of the gymnast to find out if its real or fake. He went on a fact checking site showing that the video was an advertisement for craftsman tools.

Then I did a Wikipedia search to see if there was more information about the video. Unfortunately, there wasn’t any results with my search.

The description in the original video seemed real, but it was also fake since that incident didn’t happen and the video was an advertisement. So in the end the video was obviously fake.
