Competencies assessment 2024 (Grade 11)

Communication  

(Communication and collaboration)  

I demonstrated the ability to be able to communicate and collaborate with others when participating in and facilitating reading circles in EFP 11. My group members and I shared our thoughts and ideas and asked thought-provoking questions to make interactive and engaging discussions in each class.
Together, we each took the responsibility of a role, taking advice from each other along the way.
Our joint efforts and mutual support resulted in highly analytical conversations that went in depth on the book while still being enjoyable. 

  

  

Reflection  

(Critical thinking and creative thinking)  

I showed creative thinking this semester in my French class when planning and making my French vlog. Together with my partner, we took the time to find the perfect topic for the vlog and came up with creative ways to edit and present our creation. We were all quick to come to compromises, while still thinking logically about the due date, which made for very compatible teamwork.
We used each other’s ideas to develop our own, making for a creative and diverse video that showed our engagement in French culture.  

  

  

Personal and Social  

(Social/personal responsibility, and personal/cultural identity)  

I showed lots of social responsibility this year in Chemistry, in various moments throughout the semester. Firstly, I celebrated my efforts and successes in the course, and I took the time to recognize how hard I’ve worked when I got good marks.
I also showed social responsibility by dealing with issues in a fitting matter, by always staying level-headed Whether it was making sure to follow up with the teacher on topics that I didn’t quite understand, or taking the time to talk with peers to ask for support, I always took responsibility for myself by taking care of challenges along the way.
