Welcome to my blog. Here I will be sharing a little bit about myself. Continue if you want, after all I can’t dictate what you do. On this page I will be sharing some of my favorite things/answering some questions.

『Favorite Quote』

“Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I’m not sure about the universe.” – Albert Einstein

This is my favorite quote for two main reasons. Number one is that I like Albert Einstein. I’m not a super fan or anything but I think his contribution to humanity is admirable. Reason number two is that I personally agree with this quote. As much as it is nothing but impressive of how far humanity has come, we must also acknowledge all of the not so clever decisions that humans have made throughout the years. I believe that part of being human is being imperfect and part of being imperfect means we make mistakes and selfish decisions. In most cases this isn’t a bad thing, after all it’s part of the human experience.

『Favorite YouTube Clip』

My favorite YouTube clip changes often but for right now it’s this video of a song from an anime I am currently watching called “One Piece”. The show is about of group of pirates traveling across the sea to find the treasure known as the “One Piece”. The song is called “Bink’s Sake” or sometimes “Bink’s brew”. It’s a sea shanty sang often by the main characters. There isn’t really a deep reason of why I like the video, I just like the show a lot as well as I find the song catchy.

『A Picture that has Impacted Me』:

avogado6

A picture that has impacted me is honestly anything by avogado6 (a Japanese artist). They are my favorite artist and their art never fails to make me think. This particular piece reminds me of how we are all piecing ourselves together piece by piece and at no point do we really finish the puzzle that is our lives. There is always going to be something more to add or something that changes as we learn and grow from new experiences. At least that’s how I interpret it. That’s one of the great things about art, everyone has their own interpretations and no one is really wrong.

『Favorite Website』

Instead of actually talking about my favorite website (Probably Google or YouTube) I’m going to talk about a website I find fascinating as I think that is way more interesting.

The million dollar homepage is a website made by Alex Tew, a British entrepreneur in 2005. The premise was that there were 1 million pixels on this website arranged in a 1000 x 1000 square. Each pixel got sold for one dollar and can be linked to an URL. When bought in bulk one can create images with the pixels. Many companies saw this as an excellent opportunity and purchased these pixels to advertise their company. The website is still up however many of the URLs are now unserviceable. Regardless the way that this entrepreneur saw the potential in the internet and took advantage of it way before others did is super impressive to me.

Bonus:

My birthday is July the 14th and like me it is pretty uninteresting. However two things that I learned while researching is that one, I share my birthday with the 38th US president, Gerald Ford and two, in 1951 The George Washington Carver National Monument became the first national park to honor an African American.
