Thank you for visiting my blog!

1) Favorite Quote

Carpe diem. Seize the day, boys. Make your lives extraordinary.”

– Robin Williams, Dead Poets Society (1989)

This quote comes from one of my favorite movies, the Dead Poets Society. I like this quote because it encourages us live life to the fullest and make sure to make it extraordinary. To do whatever makes you happy. To make sure you die with no regrets. To embrace the present. To make the most of our time.

So at the end of it all, we can all look back knowing we lived a life worth living.

2) Favorite YouTube Clip

My favorite YouTube clip is “Inside the Mind of a Master Procrastinator“, a TED Talk by Tim Urban. During his speech, he explains procrastination in a fun and simple way. He highlights two types of procrastination: one with deadlines and one without. Deadlines create pressure to get things done, but what if there isn’t one? Many procrastinators miss out on their hopes and aspirations, leading to a life full of missed opportunities and regret.

3) Picture that has Impacted Me

Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima, February 23, 1945 : r/ColorizedHistory

Raising the Flag on Iwo Jima (1945)

One of the most iconic photos in Human History. This photo was taken after one of bloodiest battles in the Pacific during WWII. I like this photo because it symbolizes sacrifice, resilience, unity and victory. A testament to the human spirit during times of conflict.

4) Favorite Website

I chose Duolingo as my favorite website. Duolingo is an free app that you could use to learn a variety of languages, such as French, Spanish and Japanese. It turned language learning into a fun game, with there being ranks, leagues, leaderboards and even a social feature. Some days, I spent up to 6 hours learning French. Duolingo has 37 million active users every month, making it the most successful language learning app.
