Reflection:

  1. My overall topic of this project is about water pollution. The goal of my project is so that it explains how much negative effects water pollution makes in the world as well human beings and even animals. In addition, for the datas to be easily understood and well explains the importance and what it does.
  2. The site companies I used was Harvard University, Clean Water Action, Visual Capitalist, and The World Counts. One of the things I learned about it was that I had no idea that the countries that had the top ocean plastic wastes would be those countries, there were even countries I have never heard of and it’s just surprising that they have the top ocean wastes in the world.
  3. These sites impacted my understanding about this topic because the data they showed make me comprehend better and take it more serious of how much water pollution damages the world, and just in the general the information was easy to understand which was also helpful but at the same time gave good information.

Topic: Ceramics
Ceramics are a stable and durable material that have been used by humans for thousands of years. They are made using various clays and minerals that are dug from the earth and then refined into fine powders. These powders are then crushed and ground into fine particles using machinery, which allows for precise control over the particle size and composition of the final product. The particles are then mixed with water or another liquid to create a shapeable mixture that can be molded, shaped, or thrown on a pottery wheel.

Ceramics have a wide range of uses and can be found in everything like decorative objects. They are also often used in the construction industry for their heat resistance and durability, and are also commonly used for kitchenware, such as plates and bowls, due to their ability to withstand high temperatures. Ceramics are also frequently used in the production of art and decorative objects, as they can be molded and shaped into a variety of forms however you like, and can be glazed or painted to create unique designs and patterns.

Despite their strength and durability, ceramics can be fragile and sensitive to cracking or breaking. However, advancements in materials have led to the development of new types of ceramics that are more resistant to damage and durable. These materials are commonly used in more difficult applications.

In conclusion, ceramics have an important big role in the environment because of it being used very commonly and being in people’s daily basis. Ceramics remain a critical material in many aspects of modern technology. They also have a very big history behind them because they have been around for so many years.

Break the Fake – 11-year-old British boy beats Einstein and Hawking on Mensa IQ test

Yusuf Shah, an eleven year-old is being applauded as a genius after he got the highest score on a Mensa intelligence test, 162. In comparison, he beat Stephen Hawking and Albert Einstein, both of whom were said to have IQs of approximately 160. Mensa, an international society open to high-IQ individuals, confirmed Shahs score to NBC News, saying he placed in the top 2% of the population and has high potential. According to Shahs county newspaper, the Yorkshire Evening Post, his parents encouraged him to take the test with no specific preparation.

Hi everyone, today I am going to see if only an 11 year-old boy, really did beat Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking on a IQ test!

This is an article I found on a list of current news. I am going to see if it’s real or fake.

1. First I went to the source “NBC news”.

2. Then I did a search on wikipedia and found no bad reviews and was known to give true information. So I knew that I could trust it.

3. When I went on Snopes I couldn’t find the article I went to check other sources.

4. I checked out different websites and found many reliable sources, and this one confirmed it was real.

5. I also added hoax into my search and all the sites were saying the similar things.

In conclusion, I looked at many articles and they all said the same thing and all the facts were real. This article is true!

TOKTWD

On November 2nd I went to my mom’s work place for “Take your kid to work day”. My mom works at a school district she is a swis worker there which is a settlement worker. What she does is she usually looks over peoples documents and enrolled them into schools that matches their document. First we went to the school district where my mom mostly works at, then went to an elementary school, there I volunteered to be a helper in a grade 2/3 class. I helped out the kids colour Skeltons, cut out the parts, and attach the parts together to make a doll. They also coloured in a skeleton head that was made out of clay. My mom wanted to take me to a secondary school to show me around but it was too late by the time I was done with the elementary school, but I hope I can visit next time.

Here is a picture:

What did you hear, see, smell, and feel in the work environment on Nov. 2nd?

When my mom was having meeting with people I wasn’t allowed to listen because it includes private information, so what I heard was muffled voices. At the elementary school when I first arrived at the school I was hearing all the kids playing outside with their friends. In the class I heard the kids having fun drawing and having fun with each other. What I saw was I saw my mom’s office at the school district. I saw tables, chairs, rooms. I saw lots of my mom’s coworkers. At the school I saw little kids. The tables and chairs were very tiny. Crayons, pencils, paper. I saw cubbies which reminded me of elementary. I smelt the ink from crayons when the kids were drawing. When I was getting a tour in the school district I went in the kitchen and it smelt like toast. My mom’s coffee. What I felt mature when I was helping the kids. I felt welcomed everywhere because all the workers were very nice.

What about the environment would motivate you to wake up every day to attend work?

I would be motivated to attend work because of the kids. I like that idea of being able to put the kids to work and help them with things they’re struggling with.  I think it’s fun to go teach and have fun with the kids, because they’re very nice and funny. Also the workers there are very nice and welcoming so that would motivate me to attend work.
