I went to my uncle’s office. His company uses their  technology to make machines to help other companies to inspect oil and gas wells. During the day my uncle showed me around the place,  showed me how to lead a team, let me meet some of his coworkers and showed me their projects.

1. What did you hear, see, smell, and feel in the work environment on Nov. 6th? Use details

When I went into the office it looked futuristic because at the front desk there was a huge LED light logo. When I entered the workplace, it was very dark, but my uncle’s room was bright and spacious. The pantry smells like coffee and popcorn because there are coffee and popcorn machines. There is also a kitchen in the pantry. There are also a gym and a steam room in the office. There is an engineering workshop and an experiment lab as well but only people that work there can go in.

2. What about the environment would motivate you to wake up every day to attend work? Why?

One thing that motivated me to go to work is the coworker because they were very nice to each other and listened to everyone’s idea before they make a comment.

3. What about the work environment would discourage you from waking up every day to attend work? Why?

One thing that discouraged me from going to work is that the office is very dark. It discourages me because it is very depressing.

4. What is ONE thing you found interesting about your workplace visit? Why?

One thing I found interesting was that the office had a gym and a steam room.
