BasketballHi i am Ethan, I am researching about the topic basketball history, basketball is one of the most popular sports in the world, back then there were NBA stars like Wilt Chamberlain, Micheal Jordan Shaquille O'Neal, Kobe Bryrant , and Lebron James. Back then the Chicago Bulls was also the best team with Scotty Pippen and Micheal Jordan, and if we look at the very back there was sky hooks which was a type of shot that was like a 90 degree circle and basically hope it would go in because really at that time they had basically no skill and no 3 point line. Also, that was the time where Wilt Chamberlain scored 100 points in one game, which was very hard to do because that was like you being the only star player, and everyone passing to you. Also, back then there was no shot clock so they could be running around the court the whole game without a single shot, and they would use their right hand a lot, but now we have a 24 second shot clock and we use both hands with advanced moves. We also shoot with an actual form, and not hoping it would go in....

~Information Fluency~ {First Aid}I would say I have many passions, but one that I recently discovered and got into was First Aid. Although this might sound like a strange passion, I find it very interesting. I have recently completed my Standard First Aid and CPR course and have started NL, (National Lifeguarding). I read three separate articles, discussing what First Aid is, why it is important and a more detailed explanation of CPR. The first article was written by Word of Health and spoke about what First Aid is. First Aid is an immediate treatment for someone who is in mild to high discomfort. It can often be used in emergencies right before EMS arrives to take over. In many cases. First Aid bought enough time for the Medical Workers to arrive in time to save the victim. The second article explained the importance of learning First Aid. In cases where Medical Help would not be able to arrive right away, having a peer or colleague around who is confident in their First Aid skills can be life-saving. People can learn First Aid from the ages of 10 and up. As for the last one, it consisted of a more detailed explanation of CPR. CPR is one of the most skills someone will learn in FirstAid. When performing CPR, the victim's heart will be manually pumped. Sending blood to vital organs and prolonging the non-breathing victim's life. What I do wonder is, Who exactly was the first person to discover CPR? How did they know/how it world works?...

THE FITNESS AND HEALTH BENEFITS IN KICKBOXINGI have been doing kickboxing for over 3 and a half years and in kickboxing there are multiple health benefits in this sport. Kickboxing has always been a big passion of mine and I enjoy it every day from this day. First of all I will be starting it off on how much it strengthens your core. Since most of the sport is about sweating and self defence you do many kicking and jabbing which throughout the time strengthens your core muscles. When you twist to add power to a punch, you’re engaging your core to make stronger. The questions you may ask are about the techniques and on how to punch or how to make it perfect. Well, it takes much time to perfect it and the more you practice your technique and reflexes will get better. Another thing about health benefits which helps a lot with is it decreases stress, and boosts endurance. As for myself kickboxing has helped me a lot with stress. Even if you're in shape, kickboxing uses your body in a totally different way from other exercises. Doing too much too soon can lead to injuries, especially to your back, shoulders, and joints. To prevent that you must look around your surroundings and be aware on who is near you. ...

Fall of the Byzantine EmpireThe fall of the Byzantine Empire in 1453 marked a turning point in history, the last remnant of the great Western Roman Empire had fallen. While the Byzantine Empire had survived for over a 1000 years and had survived countless invasions, but by the 14th and 15th centaury it had become weakened by , defeats in wars, economic problems, and religious divisions. During the 15th centaury, the Ottoman Empire, who had been gaining power over the past centaury's and had taken large amounts of territory, set their sights on the Byzantine Empire and its capital, Constantinople. The benefits and drawbacks of martial artsI have been going to Taekwondo classes for more than 7 years and plan to continue for the foreseeable future. So I think I safely say I have a passion for martial arts. While I was researching for this assignment, I came across an article titled "The social-psychological outcomes of martial arts practice among youth". So, as someone within this category I thought it would be interesting to read and talk about the benefits and drawbacks of martial arts and my personal experience. Alright let's start with the perceived positives. Firstly martial arts is believed to provide positive learning opportunities for youth. In my experience, this is correct. I believe martial arts have contributed heavily to my increased discipline and adoption of new healthy habits over the years. Secondly, it has been suggested that martial arts training can improve self-reliance, enthusiasm and self-regulation. I have personally experienced these benefits over the years. Especially over the past few years, I have found myself using my time more effectively, setting goals and creating habits on my own and being more focused in and out of school....
