I came across this tweet on twitter linking a YouTube video about a high school student, Britney Gallivan, who broke the world record by folding a paper in half at 12 folds. I am going to see if this tweet if true or false.

1. When I clicked on the source, Quite Interesting, their page has over 1 million followers and they have a check mark beside their username meaning they are verified by Twitter.
2. Once searched on Wikipedia this this Twitter account belongs to a British comedy panel game television quiz show created and co-produced by John Lloyd. The show airs on BBC Two and currently has around 272 episodes.
3. When you watch the YouTube video you can see that the channel that posted this video is Guinness World Records. It is the official Guinness World Records channel because it has over 8 million followers with the check mark beside the name, meaning it is verified by YouTube.
4. Lastly, when you search Britney Gallivan’s name on Google you can see that Google has a profile for her on the right side of your screen. In the description from Wikipedia it says that she is the one who broke the record, and it is followed by multiple images of her with the folded paper she broke the record with.
From all the different steps I took, I believe that it is true that Britney Gallivan broke the record of folding paper in half at 12 folds.
