Core competences

I can communicate confidently, using forms and strategies that show attention to my audience and purpose. Through my essays and presentations, I learned to adjust my tone and structure so readers immediately grasp my main point, and I now focus on integrating evidence in a way that stays clear and engaging rather than just inserting quotes.

I can get new ideas or reinterpret others’ ideas in novel ways. As I worked on projects  and personal responses, I discovered how to take a theory or text and make it my own and turning broad concepts into examples that reflect my experiences, which helped me move from simply summarizing to creatively applying ideas.

I can evaluate and use evidence to develop interpretations; identify alternatives, perspectives, and implications; and make judgements. In revising drafts, I learned to spot where I repeated myself or where my argument felt weak, and I now actively question my own writing and finding the clearest, most convincing way to present my ideas.

Next Steps:

I will keep experimenting with different ways to introduce and explain evidence so my writing stays clear and engaging, asking classmates or teachers for feedback before final drafts.

I plan to challenge myself by applying concepts from class to stretch my creative thinking.

I’ll set aside time after each assignment to review what felt strongest and what tripped me up, so I can adjust my process (for example, tightening my language sooner rather than waiting until the end).

Core Competencies Reflection

This year in grade 11 I have completed school work and activities that have shown core competencies, in particular I have grown the most in my Communication competency, particularly in French because In Etudes de Cinema et Literature 11, we discuss a question or topic in groups. This made me want to express my opinion more improving my communication skills.

In EFP 11 I have shown a level of sophistication in my creative thinking because I have written lots of creative essays on themes which was an excellent example of creative thinking because I demonstrated that I can find themes and come up with creative ways to express them uniquely and in all of those essays I have received high marks for.

Next, I will focus on developing my Critical thinking competency by coming up with ways to solve problems in particular math, instead of jumping to conclusions or asking for help, I will try and take my time and critical thinking to find strategies and ways to solve the more tricky math problems and take my time and think about it and then if I still can’t figure it out then I will go searching for help.

Core Competencies

  1. In my social studies course we did a project on Genocide’s, which was a great demonstration social responsibility because for this project we evenly spread out the project parts and we communicated well and discussed who was to do what which made the project a success, we all put in a ton of effort and we were all super proud in how it turned out. Our depth of research and dedication to the project was what made it successful and if I could do it over, I wouldn’t change a thing.

  1. I’ve grown the most in my French course because I used to not try my best and was not studying and trying to do the best I couldand now as the semester progressed, I made a greater effort to make sure I truly understood by studying and getting help from others. I began to do my best to prepare myself for projects and essays. I have been making more of an effort to speak more French in and outside of school to improve my language skills to improve my speaking ability to present and converse with others in French.

  1. Next, I will focus on developing and getting better in soccerby practicing more outside of practice, either by myself or with others. I will make a greater effort to give my all not just in games but in practice as well. By practicing more i aim to improve my technique and shooting skills, increase my stamina and understanding of the game. I am hoping to become the best I can be, so the sport becomes more fun. I am going to put in my maximum effort every time I play, and I hope for success.

Fast Fashion Infographic

The topic of my infographic is Fast Fashion, and my goal with this infographic/project was to inform people about this issue. Explaining how ordering cheap clothes online is not good for anyone other than you, who gets cheaper clothes, how it hurts people and our environment significantly and the real reason the clothes are cheaper.

The sites I used to collect my data were Forbes, BBC, Sustain Your Style, the guardian, HRW, and Good On You. I already knew some things about fast fashion but now I have a better understanding. I learned really how bad fast fashion is for the environment and for the workers all the not so fun facts I wrote I learned because of this project. I learned that workers are denied water and breaks if they do not finish making clothes and how horrible the conditions are.

The process of utilizing websites can expose you to new ideas and perspectives, help you learn about the latest tech trends, and provide you with access to a community of like-minded individuals. All of these things can help you better understand how technology is changing the world. I think that the process of utilizing technology has made me more aware of how technology can have a positive or negative impact on the world. By using advanced sensors, cameras, and algorithms, this technology can help to prevent accidents and save lives. I believe that technology has the power to change the world in countless positive ways, and seeing the impact that side impact technology has had on vehicle safety has made me optimistic about the future of technology and its potential to make the world a better place, But on the other hand i think that it could go very wrong so we as a society have to be careful.

What is Henna

Henna was originally known as Mehndi in Hindi and Urdu, Henna is red or brown dye that is normally made from dried leaves of the henna scrub (Lawsonia inermis). It has been practiced in Pakistan, India, Africa, and the Middle East for over 5000 years.

Originally Henna was used for people living in hotter climates because of its natural cooling properties. Initially it was limited to soaking hands and feet in its paste to retain body temperatures when it was extremely hot out. Henna is also used to treat various types of skin problems like ringworm, athletes’ foot etc. It’s effective in treating cracking nails. A considerable number of women use it as a substitute for nail polish which doesn’t require a nail polish remover. The bark of the henna plant is known to be effective in the treatment of jaundice and some diseases.

Eventually, people started applying paste to the hands, feet and arms with fingers and the designs were made with the use of small twigs and or toothpicks. Henna is a very important part of Islam, because it’s used for a lot of different events like weddings. The use of henna was later adopted by Hindus and Buddhists. Henna is used as a decoration on the skin of married women has spread to most parts of the Muslim world and India.

Nowadays, henna comes in cone-shaped tubes to make pretty designs. This ancient form of skin art now consists of thousands of designs including paisleys, geometrical or floral.

Draganfly is the oldest drone company in America, founded in 1998. Next-generation drones are being used in the battlefield to clear mines, perform reconnaissance, deliver medical supplies, and relieve besieged cities. These drones are useful in three different phases of the Ukrainian war — initial response, clean-up, and rebuilding. The company’s drones are being used in Ukraine, but the market for them will soon expand to include everything from aiding local governments, to federal emergency response teams, to family farms. And Draganfly drones are at the center of it all.Draganfly’s Draganfly drones can spot people in need faster, as it did in 2013 when an injured person wandered away from an accident scene. Using thermal imaging, LIDAR, optical, and multispectral radio waves, the drone was able to save his life.Draganflyer X4-ES located an individual in the later stages of hypothermia, dressed only in a t-shirt and pants. Draganfly drones can maintain strong, secure communication even past line-of-sight. That means they can give a real-time assessment of needs on the ground.Draganfly’s drones are capable of carrying a payloads up to 30 pounds, in a climate-controlled environment. They can deliver everything from first aid kits, to plasma and blood. And they can easily get to places ambulances or other emergency services can’t.

Im going to say this article is FAKE. The reason is because there are no other articles and or comments about it, it´s also not on a reliable source and there´s nothing about it on snopes, but there is proof there are drones having an impact on Ukraine but not specific to Microcap, so it could be true but I highly doubt it.

Writing a post- TOKTWD

For bring your kid to work day I went with my mom. She works at Prospera and she’s a director of automation and business partnerships. At the beginning of the day, we went to Prosperas coorperate office, in surrey. When we arrived, we got there, we got Starbucks and then we headed to a board room where my mom presented to the whole company about a big system change that’s coming. After that all the people from my mom’s team who are business analysts along with their system support people, they met to discuss how they are going to support everybody through the banking conversion for Prospera and Westminster savings. After that, my mom took me for a tour of the office, which is five floors and then we went out to eat at Taphouse. That my mom had to work so I worked a bit on homework. Then I took my mom’s team down into the mall to get Bubble tea, then I worked on more homework and talked with my moms team. Then my mom and I headed home.

What did you hear, see, smell, and feel in the work environment on Nov. 2nd? When I was at her work I heard conversations, laughter, hum of air-conditioning. I see lots of workstations, computers, not many people, teams calls, whiteboards, and small meetings. I smell coffee, lunches, cooking, clean carpet smell. I feel it’s a happy work environment, there is a lot of stress, I feel pride for others when they accomplish around, the work is fun but challenging.

What other work environments appeal to you: what will you try next? If I could, I would want to be in the work environment of a movie director because you’re the boss and you get to work with famous actors, influence and direct people and watch how the movie progresses and at times watch them be successful.

  3. Don’t comment on personal issues because it does not have anything to do with my blog and I do not need to hear about it.
