My digital knowledge and skills have improved this year with the monthly assignments. I learned many ways to tell if the information you find online is reliable and true, as well as many websites to check for fake information. These websites can verify if the information you have given them is true or fake, which is very useful. I have also improved in finding important and valuable information from websites and articles. I have also used how to use Inkscape to create my hand-drawn images, digitally, which I think can be of use in the future. In conclusion, I learned many things throughout this course such as learning how to tell the difference between real and fake information, and how to make digital drawings on Inkscape.

In my opinion, there are many reasons one may make art. Whether it be to tell stories and experiences, for entertainment, or to express yourself, some may even use art to make money! Using art for therapeutic reasons, communication, and persuasive reasons is also valid. There is no correct answer to what you think the purpose is, as it may vary between people. One person could think the only reason is for entertainment, while another person could think of it as a way to express yourself and communicate. I think some of the most common reasons are for entertainment and self-expression, but someone else might think differently. In conclusion, there is no exact answer to the purpose of art, as it can be different for everyone.

I found an article by The New York Post that claimed that the ashes of 330 people, including some former American presidents, were being sent into space. This article claimed it was for a “Permanent Memorial,” explaining that 62 cremated remains would be put on the moon, and the rest 268 would be sent into deep space forever. The reasoning for this wasn’t too clear so I did some research to see if it was real or not.

Since this article was from The New York Post, a daily news website that is pretty well known and has been around for a while, I decided that it was trustworthy and reliable.

I also searched the article up with the word “fake” at the end but none of the websites that popped up said anything about it being fake.

Just to make sure, I decided to search for the topic of the article on Snopes and an article came up, confirming it was true.

In conclusion, I think this article is true, I checked many websites to make sure and the source of the article seems to be reliable.

On take your kids to work day, I went to work with my dad, who is an IT manager at a law firm, to work. While I was there, I got a tour of the office, a short summary of what working there was like, and some people came to talk to us about being a lawyer. After lunch, I followed my dad around as he did some work and finished my work while he was replying to emails. Overall, it was an interesting day and the experience was enjoyable.

1. What did you hear, see, smell, and feel in the work environment on Nov. 1st?
I heard people talking and the heating system. I saw people working at their desks, talking to each other, and many desks, computers and plants. I smell nothing. I feel the heat from the heating, and it is very warm in the building.

2. What about the environment would motivate you to wake up every day to attend work?
The work environment is very clean and organized, the job doesn’t seem too boring, and the people seem nice. Since the office is on the 15th floor, it has a nice view of Surrey and even has on the main floor.

3. What about the work environment would discourage you from waking up every day to attend work?
The work environment is very warm, and the people mentioned that since there are so many floors the air conditioning and heating is never very accurate for the weather. Other than the temperature and the drive to the work location, this workplace is quite nice.

4. What is ONE thing you found interesting about your workplace visit?
I found it interesting that the workplace has many offices in rooms and even more in cubicles!
