Reflection:
What is the overall topic and the goal of your project?
What sites did you use to collect your data and create the infographic and what did you learn about it?
How has utilizing these sites impacted your understanding of how technology can change (or help) the world?
At first, “What is the most popular music genre?” was the subject I wanted to write about, but I had difficulty locating raw statistics on it. I saw a piece about Drake albums while looking through articles. I changed my topic because the article had a link to a pdf file with the survey’s raw data.
I listened to pop singles and whatever else was playing on the radio the most when I initially got into music. However, I eventually began to research the musicians I liked and listened to some of their less well-known tracks. I found a lot of new songs by Drake that weren’t as well-known but that I appreciated because of the lyrics’ deeper meanings and the music’s gorgeous melody when I dug deeper into his discography. Throughout his career, he has produced music in a wide range of genres, demonstrating his extraordinary versatility as an artist. He has experimented with a wide range of musical genres.
My objective was to improve my ability to critically analyze data and my comprehension of the variables that can affect a survey’s outcome. I was interested in learning what album was the most popular in relation to my topic. Out of curiosity, I decided to look at the survey’s data.
Even though this poll was really carefully planned and executed, I don’t think the results are final. International admirers of Drake were not included in this study.
I’ve learned more about web tools thanks to my research on the subject. It’s a great resource to have all of this knowledge at my fingertips. Finding information on a subject you’re interested in is really simple. Online education is available for nearly anything. Of course, there is inaccurate or biased material online as well, therefore sources are crucial. Technology, in my opinion, has already changed the world and will do it again. Technology has improved every aspect of our life, from communication to transportation. Additionally, it allows for new and sophisticated features with each new development. With the advancement of technology, many industries, including the healthcare sector, have grown significantly more productive.

Passion Project-Ava Mahmoudi
Passion Paragraph
One of my passions is stargazing and astronomy. The vastness of the universe and the sheer beauty of the night sky have always fascinated me. I am passionate about understanding the mysteries of our universe and exploring the wonders beyond our own planet. Astronomy allows me to delve into the realms of galaxies, stars, planets, and celestial phenomena, expanding my knowledge and appreciation for the cosmos. It offers a unique perspective on our existence and humbles me with the realization of how small we are in the grand scheme of things. One interesting fact about astronomy is that our universe is estimated to be around 13.8 billion years old. Through the study of light emitted from distant celestial objects, scientists have been able to piece together the history of the universe, from its early moments after the Big Bang to the formation of galaxies and the evolution of stars. This knowledge not only provides insights into our past but also informs our understanding of the future of the universe. Stargazing is a hobby that anyone can enjoy, regardless of their background or expertise. It requires nothing more than a clear night sky, a sense of curiosity, and perhaps a telescope or binoculars. The act of gazing up at the stars can be a meditative and awe-inspiring experience, connecting us to the vastness of the cosmos and igniting our imagination. It reminds us of our place in the universe and encourages us to keep exploring and seeking knowledge about the wonders that lie beyond our own planet.

Post about Unicorn License
2. I checked the source on Wikipedia.

Wikipedia had nothing negative to say about the source.
3. I did a search for “Is HuffPost reliable”, and websites told me that HuffPost is a generally reliable source.

4. I used “Snopes.com” to see if the news is real. “Snopes.com” did not give me any related results.

5. Now, I wanted to check if other sources had reported on this. In conclusion, the news is real.

My “Take your Kid to work Day” Experience
Recently, I went to my father’s workplace and I had a great time. Let me tell you about it.
After having woken up at 7:00 a.m, I put on my nice outfit that I had planned from the night before in an effort to try and fit in with the University students. My father and I got some Starbucks and enjoyed along the drive. We got there and headed to his classroom half an hour before the 9:00 a.m start time for Project Management. Students started showing up around 8:40, slowly filling up the classroom until 9:00 a.m (excluding certain late comers) . It was interesting seeing my dad through the lens of a student and helped me gain insight into Project Management in general. After the class, we toured the campus and my dad showed me the dining room and we got some tasty lunch. We ended leaving around noon, and I was excited to come home and tell my mom about my experience as a college student in my dad’s class.

Question #1: What about the environment would motivate me to wake up every day to attend work?
You can go to work, knowing that you will be able to play an important role in the lives of students who are about to enter the world of employment. These students often look up to their professors as role models who have studied extensively in areas that they are interested in.
Another thing that would motivate me is the numerous connections you are able to make with both faculty and students alike. As the students are adults, there is more room for building connections between professors and students, rather than the instructors needing to waste precious class time neutralizing the tomfoolery of certain students when compared to highschool class environments.
Question #2: What about the environment would discourage you from waking up every day to attend work?
As a professor everyday, you need to be on your A game as students rely on your teaching and ability to engage the class with course material. Professors are meant to be student’s most valuable resource, and it is a lot of responsibility to bear. Students are able to stay quiet somedays, when they feel like it, but teachers need to be very consistent with how they present themselves to a class, no matter what is happening in their day to day life.
Between the times spent making course content at home, and instructing in person, little time remains for non-work related endavours, such as trips. Trips can only occur during summer or winter breaks.
Guidelines for commenting on my blog
Thank you for visiting my blog. Please be mindful and respectful when commenting on my work. In this post, I will outline some guidelines to help you with your comments.
- Comments should be between 2 and 5 sentences long. I believe that thoughtful posts should be no more than a single sentence long. If you are going to comment on my work, I want it to be thoughtful, in-depth, and specific. What piqued your interest? What contradicts your opinions? I would like to know everything, but only in the proper format.
- Make use of proper grammar and spelling. Mistakes draw my attention to how you write rather than your ideas. I want to fully comprehend your points of view. I want the comments to be clear so that I can focus on the message rather than the grammatical errors. It’s significant that not everyone has perfect spelling skills. I’m not the greatest speller either! All I ask is a simple spell check.
- Please read the article. Read through all of the comments. Participate in the entire discussion. I am a firm believer in conducting research before making a comment on a subject. You won’t know what my final thought is if you don’t read the entire article, so your comment may be misleading. On my blog, I’m attempting to avoid ambiguity.
- Treat others as you would like to be treated. I always give respect, and I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect respect in return. If we disagreed, I would like to be in a disagreement while still respecting what each other has said. Everyone will have a unique point of view, which is fantastic! That is the beauty of humanity! We have so many complex ideas, and our brainstorming can accomplish so much. Also, I will not want to hear something you would not be saying to my face. On my blog, I do not tolerate negativity, and I am fine with disagreements, but being overly rude will not be condoned.
Sample: My blog post on Pride & Prejudice
“Hey, Ava! Your post on Pride & Prejudice was very interesting! I will not be reading it because I am more into dystopian literature rather than historical fiction, but I enjoyed learning about your favorite piece of literature! Would you be able to talk about “1984” by George Orwell in your next blog?”
