My name is Asal. I was born in Iran and moved to Ecuador at the age of 6 and stayed there until I was 12. Ecuador is a very beautiful country and I hope to go and visit there from time to time. I enjoy watching soccer, playing volleyball, and seeing my friends over the weekends. I enjoy living in Canada, I got to meet incredible friends, and I also gained a lot of experience studying and volunteering during middle school. I also speak 3 languages fluently which are Spanish, Farsi, and English.

It is my favourite goal for Manchester City, scored by my favourite soccer player ´´Agüero´´ who is from Argentina, he, unfortunately, had to retire due to a heart condition at 33.

 A picture that has Impacted Me:

I chose this photo which is from Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571, during that flight 40 passengers who were part of a rugby team, were supposed to go to a tournament, however, once the plane crashed in the Andes mountains 29 people did not survive, after having to feed themselves from the bodies of their best friends and melting snow to stay hydrated. On the 22nd and 23rd of December, 1972, two and a half months after the crash, the remaining 14 survivors were rescued,  because of Nando Parrado and Roberto Canessa, who set out across the mountains on  December 12th to find help, they climbed and walked 53.9 kilometres for 10 days into Chile before finding help.  This shows me that no matter what, there is always hope!
