an assignment which Im proud of.

My proudest project i’ve done in semester one is this “pointillist rendering project” and it’s definitely one of my favourite drawing i’ve made. i chose this project for the following 2 reasons, the first one being that i think i’ve out done myself in this project, and it’s something that i’ve never made before.

In this project we were to use only the small brush, and the Blue Yellow and Red paint supplied and to create a full colour rendering on the paper we have been given. We were not allowed to mix any colour so everything in this drawing is made by different points. Here is a closer look of the drawing.

Our objective is not to create a copy of the reference image but to create a painted image that is pleasing and effective in its own right, as a painting, to make it interesting to look at. this project took me around 2 weeks to complete it but the result is definitely worth the work i put into it.

visual art 9 – blind contour

In Mr Morris’ visual art 9, we started this year off with blind contour. Not long after we did a project of a shoe blind contour. Unfortunately i don’t have any pictures of this project but i’m proud of this project because it shows that how much i’ve improved comparing when we first started doing blind contour. When you are doing blind contour, you need to pay extra attention on the object your drawing. You need to pay attention of what is there, instead of what you think should be there. And if you payed enough attention to that object, you could see the line that you’re drawing on the object, just like when you’re tracing an art piece, and that is the coolest experience i had when i’m drawing.
