In the recent months there has been a large controversy on whether the popular app TikTok should be banned in America. The social media platform has had large impact on the nation’s youth. About 60% of Americas youth say they are addicted to TikTok. Compared to the 40% who say they prefer other platforms. In addition, America would not be the first country to act. India has already banned TikTok among other chinse apps. However, many politicians believe that TikTok should continue to operate under American ownership. Although China would rather TikTok be shut down than leave it in the hands of the USA. Now the question is left up to the public should the TikTok continue to operate in America?

I found using AI to be very unfulfilling. There is something about having a computer do your work for you that feels wrong. I feel as if i have commited a crime. The very thought of using AI in my head does not feel right.

I had fact checked the AI paragraph and found the sources to be very reliable. The information had seemed to be true as well. Although the AI had chosen to focus on TikTok’s invasion in the governement rather than its effect on youth. 

• Was the exercise useful? How can this help you with your learning going forward? 

I have found this exercise very helpful. It has given me insight on how wrong it feels to use AI and that I should always use to my own work. Not only that but it takes away from a large part of my education. 

• Were your results expected? Yes or No? Explain. 

The results where not as I had expected. I thought AI would be very inacurate and be full of errors. However, the AI seemed to be very knowledgeable about the given topic. This makes me wonder what else AI is capable of and how it will impact our future. 

For take your kid to work day I went with my mom. She works at Centennial secondary school and she is a education assistant, basically she works with kids with special needs and helps them learn at they’re own pace. My mom’s work is from 8:30-3:00. At the start of the day we worked in the lec and supported different needs of various students with subjects like math and English. Secondly we ate, then we assisted with reading comprehension. At the end of the day I got to see some of my mom’s students at a unified soccer game.
