Communication:

In my career and life connections twelve class we had an assignment where communication was important for not only completion but a clean and clear assignment to submit at the end. Therefor the assignment was a perfect choice for the communication competency reflection. During my last core competencies reflection last year, I wrote about how I wanted to improve my communication skills, so this year I have been doing exactly that. The assignment in CLC12 had multiple steps that required communication, but the step I feel required the most communication and helped me improve that competencies myself was the interview step. In the interview step we had to provide evidence, a plan, any changes to the original proposal and communicate to further those ideas during the interview. I got a good mark on the interview, and it reflects my growth in the communication core competency. I was able to expand and respond to my ideas and teacher’s questions allowing me to end up with a clear and next step ready assignment clearly and fluently. After seeing results in my improvement of communication in only a year, the next core competency I want to improve on is personal and social skills.
