Carey price was a NHL goalie drafted by the Montreal Canadians in 2005 and arguably was one of the best goalies ever. Carey Price was born on August 16 1987. Carey Price’s father sacrificed a lot by driving Carey Price 3 hours both ways too and from hockey. Carey Price’s father even bought a small plane to cut down transportation time. He played with his minor hockey association from age 9-15 then was drafted by the Tri-City Americans of Kennewick, Washington. This meant Carey Price had to stay with a host family during his time in the WHL. By his 20s he was playing in NHL. In 2014 he helped lead Canada to the Olympic Gold medal only allowing 3 goals in 5 games. Price was huge asset to the Canadians being praised and loved by coaches, reporters, and teammates. In the 2014-2105 season Price stopped 2,785 of 2,984 competitive shots had a save percentage of .933 league high, 1.96 price’s regular-season goals against average, tops in the NHL, and won 12 out 18 play off matches. If price had not gotten injured in the first match against the new York Ranger in the eastern conference finals the Canadians would have a chance to win the cup.
