This article was about how residents in Kelowna and Okanagan Valley woke up one morning to mysterious purple/pink haze.
1. The first thing that I did was I was scrolling through the news and clicked on this article where I saw these two pictures with purple/pink haze.
2. The next thing that I did was I went on Snopes to see if they had any articles on this topic and to see if it was real or not. Unfortunately, there were no articles on this topic. I think that the reason behind that is because it was a relatively new article and wasn’t very popular. The original article only states two provinces is Canada and I think that maybe not enough people had seen it yet.
3. The next thing i did was a google search with the key words from the original article. I searched up “Purple haze Okanagan” and nothing came up. I then went back to the article and re-read it to find some new key words to use. I searched up “Pink fog Kelowna” and found 4 different articles.
4. The next thing that I did was read the new articles. All of the information was mostly the same stuff. The news outlets also seemed pretty trustworthy. Since all of the information was the same and I didn’t have much to go off of, I went back to the original article again to check the author. I wanted to search him up to see if he had been involved in any prior hoaxes which he hadn’t.
So, after all of this research and no evidence proving that it isn’t real, I believe that this article is a true article.
