TOWKTWD

For TOWKTWD I went to Simon Fraser University, my mom works there as a professer, so I went with her. I got to go on a tour of the campus with all the other grade 9s that were there. We were showed all the different departments and buildings on campus. We got to go in and look at the dorms and cafeterias that the students use, we got to see the sports facilities and play in the gym. At the end of the tour we did a science alive project that was to create a rollar coaster for marbles out of foam noodles.

1. What did you hear, see, smell, and feel in the work environment on Nov. 6th? Use details

I heard people talking to each other and teachers giving lectures. I could smell the food from the many coffee shops. And I felt a little relaxed in the university 

2. What about the environment would motivate you to wake up every day to attend work? Why?

I think that it would be motivating to work on what interests you most, and teach it to others  

3. What about the work environment would discourage you from waking up every day to attend work? Why?

I think that the amount of time that you would spend at a computer figuring out all the details and not actually working on anything interesting  

4. What is ONE thing you found interesting about your workplace visit? Why?

I liked all the different types of labs with so many different purposes, and so many different machines that can be used for discovering
