Q3 Proud assignment.

In quarter 3, the 2 subjects I had we’re Science and Social Studies. I had such an amazing experience in both classes and had many great marks from certain projects, tests and homework’s. My proudest assignment is in Social Studies. My teacher had assigned my class to pick one of the revolutions that had happened during the Arab spring, and answer 12 questions about one of those revolutions. I had chosen to write about Syria. I answered all 12 questions very fluently and thoroughly, concluding the assignment with over 4000 words. Once I handed the assignment in on time, I was then told I had to take notes with other people in the class who chose to write about Syria. Once we took notes about each other’s projects, we had to come together and make a PowerPoint explaining the Syrian revolution. We had 2 days to create a PowerPoint and spent 30 minutes presenting it! After a couple of weeks, my teacher had returned my grade back to me. I had received 89% on the presentation and the written assignment! I am very proud of this assignment because I put in many hours of work to finish both pieces of work. Furthermore, I felt very relived once I finished this because it felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of my shoulders. I was very happy, and I still am happy about this score, and I hope more to come this way!!!

 

Did Nike VP Ann Hebert’s son get caught re-selling sneakers?

  1. I found this article that states that Nike VP Ann Hebert’s son was reported for abusing discount codes and re-selling sneakers. I am going to find out if this really happened.

 

2. I went to see if the website “Input” was a reliable source. It had much fame from others, and it was a known Magazine amongst people.  The “Input Magazine” was a fairly trusted magazine, but i have to do more research.

3. I searched Wikipedia and found that the “Input Magazine” was a known website who had published 52 weekly additions since 1984. It was published in the UK, and is a trusted source. That means no need to check Snopes.com because I already have all the proof I need.

     

 

 

4.  The magazine turns out to be a trusted source but is the article real or fake? I used a different source to see if they have the same story posted about Nike VP’s son re-selling sneakers. CBS news also had a story about this which told me that this website and story is legit because I found CBS on Wikipedia giving me a lot of information about this story.

5.  In conclusion, the story was real and was posted by trusted news sources.

 

 

 

Recyclable Sneakers

A passion of mine is sneakers. In the following article that i read, i learned about how a Adidas is try make recyclable sneakers for commercial use which will be 100% biodegradable. All materials will be very stylish and will resemble running shoes. Even thought these shoes may be a little bit pricey, all materials will be recycled from the sneaker once worn out. This is a very good idea considering the fact that throwing away your shoes after wear is very bad for the environment and can be very harmful to animals and the Eco system. Adidas is still designing these models and they are set to release in the next 1-2 years, for about 160$. Adidas strives to make a good impression on the free market by using big words like, Eco-friendly, recyclable and was eliminating. There has even been rumors that Adidas is planning to make almost all of their shoes out of recyclable material in the next 2-4 years. This will take a lot of work to find materials that are non waste and that also give the consumer the same feel when sliding their foot in a pair of these amazing shoes. In my opinion, this is a pair i would buy personally just because i would really like to make a change in the world even if its small.

Business 9 —— Entrepreneur presentation

For business 9, we learned about how to sell product, stocks, and marketing approaches. Me and my partner had a presentation project on famous a entrepreneur, we chose Mukesh Ambani, an Indian billionaire. The presentation went very well and i got a really great mark. 19/20. I am proud of myself for this project and for the outcome of it. 🙂

 

In the second quarter i still had Business as an elective. The second term of business we focused more on Marketing and how to sell products. We did numerous projects and even had to make our own company and a unique product that consumers would buy. I had partnered with my friends because i know i can work well with people i know, and our communication will be better then if i worked with a classmate that i dont know very well. For one of the projects where we had to design our own product and present it to the class about why it was better then all the other products like itself. If you did a product that does not have competition like ours, you had to explain which market you were targeting and how are you gonna market your product and achieve success. Me and my group designed a ride able suitcase which we called the Zoom-Case. It was a fully ride able carry on bag that can help you get to your destination faster. In the end of our presentation, me and my group managed to secure a very high mark. I believe we achieve a high mark because we worked together as a team and communicated and managed to explain our product very well.

  • Comments should be at least 2-5 sentences. I would like that people comments are very thoughtful and well read. instead of commenting random stuff on my blog, please try to either give me feedback, or spread some positivity.
  • Write comments that add to the conversation. Ask a question. Provide a link that might clarify a point. Copy/paste a passage that interests you then write your comments and questions. I would really like if that when you comment on my blog, that you make it interesting and detailed. Add some links, some other types of websites or pictures!
  • Treat people the way you want to be treated. I think that this rule is very important for everyone, be kind and don’t use any swear words or disrespectful messages towards me or my blog.
  • Use good grammar and spelling. Mistakes cause readers to focus on how you write, not your ideas. For clearer comments, please try to make your grammar and spelling very clear and easy to read.
